Tatiana Moskalkova: several states expressed their intention to become founders of Ombudspersons’ Eurasian Alliance

The signing of the Memorandum on the establishment of the Eurasian Alliance of Ombudspersons has been postponed due to the wish of the Commissioners of Turkey, Mongolia and others to become one of the founders. High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova reported this on 6 September in Bishkek.
"The proposal for the formation of the Eurasian Alliance received broad support from representatives of several other states that expressed their intention to become its founders," the High Commissioner said.
According to Tatiana Moskalkova, before signing the Memorandum, the Ombudspersons expressed their intention to carefully read this document. However, they need time to do this.
"Combining the efforts of Europe and Asia in the field of human rights protection will allow to raise these mechanisms to a higher level," the High Commissioner stressed.
