On a single voting day on September 10, Oleg Popov, the adviser to the High Commissioner for the Russian Federation, held a working meeting with the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of the Belgorod Region. The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Belgorod region and members of the monitoring group also participated in the event. No complaints concerning violations of the voters’ rights were received.

The representative of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation noted that elections of all levels are conducted openly; observers, members of election commissions with the right of advisory vote and the media monitor the voting process.
