Meeting with representatives of European Union

On 27 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Ella Pamfilova met with ambassadors of Estonia, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Finland, and temporary chargés d’affaires for Belgium and France.

Participants in the meeting discussed a wide range of current problems, a need to form an objective system of the international human rights situation assessment, as well as the ways to consolidate cooperation and development of a constructive dialogue.

In addition, the issues of protection of mass media rights, legal regulation of NGOs’ status in connection with the adopted law on "undesirable organisations", and confinement conditions were touched upon.
