Meeting of Russian Federation Interagency Commission for Council of Europe Affairs

On 27 April, Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Ella Pamfilova took part in a regular meeting of the Russian Federation Interagency Commission for Council of Europe Affairs (IAC) chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

Ms Pamfilova spoke about interaction of the Russian Human Rights Commissioner with the Council of Europe and partnership of other state agencies in the joint programmes. The issues in question particularly concerned the work related to implementation of the Post-conflict Programme for the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation. In addition, the parties discussed the Russian PMC Project and prospects for signing of an agreement related to it.
