Meeting of Human Rights Commissioners of Russia and Kazakhstan

On August 20, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova held a videoconference meeting with Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova.

The ombudswomen exchanged experience in protecting electoral rights of citizens in the context of the upcoming September elections this year in Russia.

Tatiana Moskalkova and Elvira Azimova outlined plans for further cooperation between national human rights institutions, including the upcoming VI Meeting of the EOA, scheduled for October 13 this year.
