Meeting of Council of Commissioners for Human Rights

On May 16, a meeting of the Council of Commissioners for Human Rights under the chairmanship of High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova was held in Kazan.

The main topic of discussion was the draft resolution of the forthcoming Coordinating Council of the Commissioners for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, dedicated to the protection of the labor rights of citizens.

The participants of the meeting also decided that, in addition to the usual discussion on the topic of the Coordinating Council, a separate part will be organized, within which the commissioners would be able to share the best practices of human rights activities.

The members of the Council of Commissioners also identified the topic of the next Coordinating Council to be held in Moscow in November 2019. It will be focused on "Protection of victims’ rights".
