On 15 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Ella Pamfilova met with Ambassador of Switzerland to Russia Pierre Helg, and Minister and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland, Patric Franzen.

In the course of the meeting the participants discussed international aspects of human rights protection and some matters of consolidation of cooperation in the field of human rights.

The Swiss colleagues showed particular interest in the specifics of the Commissioner’s institute work in Russia and the positive experience of interaction between the federal and regional commissioners under conditions of the complicated territorial structure of the country.

In this view, the participants in the meeting put forward a set of proposals to extend the international dialogue between our countries, as well as to create and develop some experience exchange programmes.
