The Institution of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation achieved A-status accreditation. Accreditation with A-status demonstrates that a National Human Rights Institution is in full compliance with the UN Paris Principles.

On the basis of the UN Paris Principles, NHRIs are accredited with one of the following statuses: "C" (the lowest status), "B" or "A". Such reaccreditation happens twice a decade.
