High Сommissioner will participate in international research-to-practice conference «Criminal law: development strategy in the XXI century»

On January 23, at 11: 00 a.m., High Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova will take part in the panel discussion «Criminal law in an era of great challenges», which will be organized within the framework of the international research-to-practice conference «Criminal law: development strategy in the XXI century».

During the event experts and eminent scientists will discuss issues of improving criminal legislation in the digital age, potential criminal law provisions for countering biogenic and socio-cultural threats.

Federal ombudswoman Tatiana Moskalkova will touch upon current trends in criminal law and highlight particularly important aspects of its development.

As a result of the event, proposals will be formulated for the formation of new Russian legislation in the field of criminal law.
Key areas of the conference:

  • criminal liability of medical personnel;
  • the role of forensic medical examination in the organization of counteraction to biogenic and socio-cultural threats through criminal law;
  • humanization of criminal law;
  • criminal law as an instrument of political struggle.
