High Commissioner presented Report 2020 to State Duma

On April 22, Tatiana Moskalkova presented the Report on the Activities of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation for 2020 at the plenary session of the State Duma.
The Russian national human rights institution together with parliamentarians and public authorities provided assistance to restore violated rights of 15,738 individuals, including uncertain circle of persons — 1.5 million people.
Tatiana Moskalkova spoke about the number and subject of appeals in 2020, new forms of reception of citizens, the main directions of activities, as well as the prospects for the development of the Commissioner’s institute and human rights spheres that require increased attention today.
On April 14, the State Duma Committee on Issues of Public Associations and Religious Organizations proposed to adopt a resolution approving the results of Tatana Moskalkova’s activities in 5 years.
Today the resolution was adopted by the State Duma deputies unanimously.
