High Commissioner participated in Annual IOI Conference

On May 27, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova addressed the 12th World Conference of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) "Giving Voice to the Voiceless" on the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
The event chaired by IOI President and Ombudsman of Ireland Peter Tyndall allowed to exchange best practices of protecting the rights of vulnerable groups, in particular, people with disabilities, children, women, migrants, refugees.
The High Commissioner noted the great contributions that Peter Tyndall had made as the IOI President over the past 5 years and welcomed new IOI President — Ombudsman of Western Australia Chris Field.
The conference was attended by representatives of international organizations, integration associations of ombudsmen, national human rights institutions from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Georgia, Zambia, Israel, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Sweden, Japan and other countries.
