On September 12 in Khabarovsk Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and Commissioner for Human Rights in Khabarovsk Krai Igor Chesnitsky held a joint reception of citizens, in which heads of the Ministry of Construction, the Labor and Employment Committee, the Ministry of Health, the regional office of the social insurance Fund, the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Khabarovsk Territory and the regional administration of the Federal Bailiff Service also took part.

Tatiana Moskalkova received the application with a request to assist in the prompt arrears repayment of wages to the employees of FGUP "Main Military-Construction Department No. 6", including former ones.

During the conversation with the General Director of the organization, the High Commissioner noted the need to take an early decision in favor of the affected citizens. "We handle the situation and bring it to the end," said Tatiana Moskalkova.

The head of the Khabarovsk Territorial Organization of the All-Russian Public Organization "All-Russian Society of Challenged People" informed the High Commissioner that on a single voting day, people with disabilities were granted equal access to the polling stations.

In turn, the High Commissioner came up with an initiative to amend the law related to the electoral right, which would allow citizens with visual impairment to visit the voting booth with an attendant.

During the discussion of the problems of challenged people, Tatiana Moskalkova stated that the High Commissioner’s Office will formulate proposals for the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Russian Federation to maintain the target certificate for providing challenged people with high-tech prosthetic and orthopedic products.

In addition, mother of a child with a nephrologic disease asked the High Commissioner to amend the current legislation for disabled citizens and accompanying persons to provide air travel in emergency cases.

In the end, Tatiana Moskalkova supported the draft law, providing for the possibility of temporary withdrawal from a stationary social service institution for people suffering from mental disorders. The High Commissioner instructed the Government of Russia and the State Duma of the Russian Federation to expedite the adoption of the law.
