High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russian Federation held working meeting with Governor of Kamchatka Territory
On 19 May, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova held a working meeting with Governor of Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Ilyuhin.
Issues regarding Kamchatka citizens’ rights and liberties ensuring were discussed during the conversation. The High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation and the Governor of Kamchatka Territory reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of development of human rights activity in the peninsula.
Tatiana Moskalkova and Vladimir Ilyuhin discussed the candidacy of Valentina Bronevich for the post of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Kamchatka Territory. She is an experienced lawyer and has a wide experience in the field of human rights protection. Before nomination to the important position, Ms Bronevich had served as the member of the Kamchatka Regional Bar Association, the Deputy Chairman of the Koryak Autonomous Area Court, the Vice Governor and the minster of the area. Since 2011, she has served as the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Kamchatka Territory.
