Commissioners discussed the problem of environmental rights protection
On 25 July, a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Commissioners for Human Rights took place in Vladimir, in which the federal ombudsman and Commissioners for Human Rights of 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part.
Since 2017 was declared the Year of Ecology in Russia, the state human rights defenders discussed, in the first place, the actual issues of protecting human rights to a favorable environment, and also considered the problems of legislative regulation of the activity of Commissioners for Human Rights in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova made a presentation on «The State and Prospects for the Protection of Human Rights to a Favorable Environment in the Russian Federation».
