Comment by High Commissioner on Injury of Russian Journalists in Nagorno-Karabakh

Any war affects the most valuable right - the right to live. No goals are worth the tears of mothers, wives and children.

With bated breath, I follow the fate of Russian journalists Yuri Kotenok and Levon Arzanov wounded while fulfilling the professional duty in Nagorno-Karabakh. I empathize and convey my words of support to their families and friends. I wish Yuri and Levon a speedy recovery and hope for their fast return.

I hope that the parties to the conflict will immediately cease hostilities and sit down at the negotiating table to resolve the current situation peacefully.
