Appeal of the High Commissioner on the International Human Rights Day

Dear friends! I congratulate you on the International Human Rights Day!

The day of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 is a significant event in the world that testifies the priority of democracy and the development of civil society institutions.

This year the institution of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation is 20 years old and our country has something to be proud of. Thanks to our efforts, the violated rights are restored annually, compensation is paid for moral and property damage caused, a good name is returned to the innocent victims. We have achieved a lot, but we still have more to do. The most important thing is to believe in yourself and to fight for justice.

On this day, I sincerely wish you good health, peace, prosperity and success in all your endeavors!
