High Commissioner held a personal reception of citizens

The fate of people is a priority in the work of the federal Ombudsman.

On 6 July, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova held a personal reception of citizens.

Pensioner S. appealed to the Commissioner on the issue of determining the legality of calculating monthly insurance payments. In 2007, the Basmanny District Court of the city of Moscow denied S.’s claim against the Social Insurance Fund, and since then the applicant has repeatedly attempted to challenge this decision.

Citizen B. addressed the High Commissioner with a request to protect his rights, since he had been denied the provision of complex orthopedic shoes under the rehabilitation program for the disabled person. Earlier, the staff of the High Commissioner’s Office sent inquiries to the Federal Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise, but the disabled citizen was denied assistance at the expense of budgetary funds.

Citizen Yu. asked the High Commissioner for help, because she believed that a fabricated criminal case had been instituted against her. In addition, she had no opportunity to obtain a re-evaluation of the case on appeal and by way of cassation.

As a result of the reception, Tatiana Moskalkova gave all the necessary instructions, some of the questions were resolved during the reception, all questions of the applicants are followed up with the High Commissioner.
