205,503 appeals considered by High Commissioner for 5 years

Over the past 5 years, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation has considered 205,503 appeals, including 11,102 collective complaints.

The rights of more than 1.5 million people have been restored.

In addition, more than 20,000 citizens were received in person.

Subjects of appeals are the observance of human rights in criminal and administrative proceedings, the protection of cultural and economic rights, environmental issues, family rights, ensuring the right to education.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, the main topics were social security, health, labor rights and the right to freedom of movement.
