Representative of High Commissioner participated in meeting on appointing members of public monitoring commissions
On 13 October, Deputy Head of Chancery of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Ivan Soloviev participated in a meeting of the working group on appointing members of public monitoring commissions.

On 3 October, Commissioner for Human Rights in Irkutsk Region Valeriy Lukin sent a letter of request to Prosecutor of Irkutsk Region Igor Melnkov in connection with the regional Government’s resolution restricting a number of free rides in public transport for preferential categories of citizens since 1 October 2016.
With the assistance of Commissioner for Human Rights in Chelyabinsk Region Margarita Pavlova a former serviceman’s pension amount has been reassessed. As a result, the amount of pension payments has increased by three times.
