Tatiana Moskalkova solemnly handed letters of gratitude of the Russian President to three staff members of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia for their merits in strengthening the rule of law, protection of rights and freedoms of citizens.
Today, the world marks International Day for the Rights of Disabled Persons. On 5 May 1992, people with disabilities in 17 countries for the first time held a day of struggle for equal rights and against discrimination of people with disabilities.

On 25 April, High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova met with staff members of the Office of the High Commissioner. Chairman of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin and Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova participated in the meeting.
On 22 April, deputies of the State Duma voted for election of Tatiana Moskalkova as High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation. The candidature was proposed by A Just Russia party. As a result of the secret ballot Ms Moskalkova was supported by 323 votes, 11 votes were against the appointment, and one abstained from voting.
The Annual Report 2015 of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation informs about three petitions to the Constitutional Court of Russia which had some outcome reached before 31 December 2015.
Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights informed of visiting Russian citizen in pretrial detention centre in Poltava
A representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights visited a Russian citizen, Ms Ch., in Pretrial Detention Centre No. 23 in Poltava once again, according to the official letter by Valeriya Lutkovska received in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the end of March.
Petition in protection of persons without legal education applying to court submitted to Constitutional Court of Russia
On 25 March, the last day as the High Commissioner for Human Right in Russia, Ella Pamfilova petitioned the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation to examine constitutionality of some provisions of the Code of Administrative Proceedings of the Russian Federation.
High Commissioner petitioned Judicial Panel of Supreme Court of Russian Federation in interests of Sentsov and Kolchenko
On 23 March 2016, High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia submitted petitions to the Judicial Panel of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in protection of prisoners Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko.
