High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova received an appeal from lawyer K. in defense of citizen B.

The criminal proceedings against the woman were initiated in 2016. According to the lawyer, B. did not commit any crimes, but was condemned, then the conviction was overturned, and the case was referred for further investigation that was conducted during the year.

As a result, the criminal proceedings against B. were terminated due to the absence of the elements of a crime in her actions.
