The regional ombudsman paid special attention to the issues of observance of the rights of convicts to receive medical care and opportunities for the timely detection and further treatment of a number of diseases: monitoring of complaints from this category of citizens shows (and these in the past five months of this year make up 20 percent in total) that the majority of them concern the quality of medical care, the lack of drugs and the timing of referrals for diagnosis and treatment.
