Ulyanovsk Commissioner provided assistance to a disabled person

Commissioner for Human Rights in the Ulyanovsk Region Lyudmila Krutilina received an appeal from resident of Novoulyanovsk D., a person with the 3-group disability, related to providing a vital medication. According to the applicant, he was denied access to drugs in connection with the upcoming reassessment of disability.

The Commissioner immediately appealed to the regional Ministry of Health, Family and Social Wellbeing with a request for an audit of this case.

As a result, in accordance with Federal Law No. 178-FZ «On State Social Assistance», D. was granted the right to receive social services namely provided with medicines on prescription covered through funds from the federal budget.
