Ulyanovsk Commissioner assisted an elderly woman

14 August 2018

A resident of Ulyanovsk addressed to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Ulyanovsk Region Lyudmila Krutilina during personal reception on the issue of protecting the right to retirement insurance.

According to her, she draws a pension since February 2018, which is minimal, despite the fact that additional documents confirming the pension insurance record were submitted.

The Ombudsman sent an appeal to the regional branch of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation with a request to conduct an audit of these facts.

As a result, an error was found in calculating the amount of the pension. The territorial division of the Pension Fund was tasked with reviewing the amount of the applicant’s pension based on accrued insurance premium payments that were not taken into account earlier when assigning a pension. The applicant was apologized for the mistake.
