Tver Commissioner held online reception of citizens

On 14 April, Commissioner for Human Rights in Tver Region Nadezhda Egorova held an online reception of citizens on the issues of providing free legal assistance.

The online reception was attended by residents of the region, representatives of local government and public organizations.

Opening the event, Nadezhda Egorova noted that a very small percentage of the region’s population owns information about the possibility of obtaining qualified free legal aid.

During the reception, the Commissioner answered questions concerning the peculiarities of providing legal assistance to returned convicts, and also explained the key points of obtaining legal assistance in emergency cases.

In addition, the inhabitants of the region paid special attention to the need of providing assistance in recovering alimony payments to pregnant women and mothers raising a child under the age of three.
