"Environmental safety is very important for our population. This action, held annually in Tatarstan, allows solving environmental problems and participation of the population in such events is an important component in preserving our ecology", - said Saria Saburskaya.
Acting Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Emir Bedertdinov in his speech to the media noted that this event is the culmination of the "Forest Week" nature protection campaign, in which 1 million young trees were planted in Tatarstan on a total area of 350 hectares.
"The purpose of environmental protection actions is the education of a careful attitude to nature, forest, attracting public attention to the problems of conservation, reproduction and augmentation of forest resources. I want to thank everyone who joined the environmental actions — it’s more than 30 thousand people of the republic", said Emir Bedertdinov.
The environmental campaign "Forest Week" is held at the initiative of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan starting from 2010. Tree planting takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn.
