Primorye Commissioner facilitated civil passport issuing

A resident of Vladivostok approached Commissioner for Human Rights in the Primorye Territory Yuri Melnikov on the matter of passport obtaining by his son who had reached the age of 14.

The terms established by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation as of July 8, 1987, No. 828 «On approval of the Regulations on the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, sample form and description of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation» and the corresponding administrative regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia dated November 13, 2017, No. 851 were violated and the passport was not issued to the boy.

After the intervention of the regional Commissioner, the issue was resolved.

An internal investigation in connection with the unjustified refusal to issue the passport is carried out by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Primorye Territory.
