Dagestan Commissioner helped applicant to return home

17 January 2019

A citizen of Ukraine temporarily residing in the region addressed Commissioner in the Republic of Dagestan Jamal Aliyev.

According to the applicant, he came to Russia for further employment, but due to the circumstances, he found himself in a difficult life situation, lost his passport, telephone and all the money he had with him, relatives did not know about his whereabouts for more than 8 months, and his appeals to various instances did not give results. In this connection, the applicant requested the Commissioner in the Republic of Dagestan to assist in returning him home to Ukraine.

After Jamal Aliyev applied to the Embassy of Ukraine in the city of Moscow, an agreement was reached on issuing a certificate of return to his homeland to the applicant. Then, citizen K. was assisted in submitting an application for the loss of an identity document to one of the police departments of the city of Makhachkala.

Also, after the employees of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Dagestan applied to the «Nadezhda» charitable foundation, K. was provided with material support and free travel by bus to Moscow for obtaining a certificate of return from the Ukrainian Embassy.
