Commissioner for Human Rights in Novosibirsk Region protected housing rights of large family

In April 2018, during a personal reception of citizens Commissioner for Human Rights in the Novosibirsk Region, Nina Shalabaeva received an appeal from citizen M. with a request for help in solving the housing problem.

The applicant stated that his large family had lost the only housing because of the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of the city of Novosibirsk to recover debts under the credit agreement and on recovery proceedings against mortgaged property.

According to M., he sent a written application to the Department of Energy, Housing and Communal Services of the city of Novosibirsk to provide his family with temporary public housing.

In the interests of a large family, Nina Shalabaeva appealed to the abovementioned department with a request to take into account the applicant’s situation when considering his appeal.

As a result of the assistance of the regional commissioner in May 2018, the applicant’s family was provided with two dormitory rooms as temporary public housing.
