On December 20, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Chelyabinsk Region Margarita Pavlova and Chairperson of the State Committee for Civil Registry Affairs of the region Lyudmila Roerich signed an agreement on cooperation.
The document is aimed at a rapid exchange of information, provision of information on state registration of civil status acts on the basis of written requests from the Commissioner, ensuring confidentiality and safety of personal data.
«For us, the protection of civil rights is at the forefront. Therefore, we try to establish friendly relations with all departments in our work. Sometimes the help of the Registry Office is crucial, so understanding in these matters is important for us. The signing of the agreement introduces a new vector in development, and for us this is a very significant event," Margarita Pavlova said.
In turn, Lyudmila Roerich noted that the work of all servants of the registry offices is directly related to the protection of the civil rights, and the regional archive contains 12 million civil status acts.
In addition, the parties agreed on partnerships within the framework of educational projects, such as the media festival «South Ural. Russia without orphans!» and joint competitions for children. Lyudmila Roerich also added that the registry offices conduct annual events for the Children’s Day, the Mother’s Day and the Day of Disabled Persons.
