10 July 2017

On 10 July, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Altai Territory Boris Larin reported that 962 complaints had been received by him in the first half of 2017.

According to Boris Larin, most of the citizens of the region complained about pension provisions, housing and communal services and criminal justice.

«Since the beginning of the year, there has been an increase in applications for the maintenance and operation of roads in winter, the enrolment for children in pre-school educational institutions, the problems of the banking sector, as well as military service," the Altai Commissioner said.

«Thanks to the measures taken by the leadership of the region, the number of citizens’ complaints about violations of labor rights has decreased," Boris Larin stressed.

In 2016, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Altai Territory handled 2011 complaints.
