On January 22, outline of the Report on the Activity of the Federal Ombudsperson for 2018 was discussed in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
"Today, we discussed topical civil and social rights issues. From year to year, the social issues are the most important and interesting both at the level of civil society and public authorities," High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova noted.
As the federal ombudsperson pointed out, the main work on preparing the Report has already been carried out, the departments of the High Commissioner’s Office have submitted analytical material. The priority of the federal ombudsperson and the staff of the Office now is to identify those major human rights trends, recommendations and proposals that require special attention of public authorities.
