Victory Day greetings from High Commissioner

08 May 2017
Victory Day greetings from High Commissioner

I sincerely wish you a happy Victory Day!

We remember that the unconquerable courage of our nation came in special force at the time of the Great Patriotic War. Defending spiritual boarders of our country and setting an example of great valour and of agape for contemporaries and descendants, millions of sons and daughters of our Motherland gave all they had — their lives.

The feat of our people having stood through the liberty and the independence of the Motherland and having released the world from the nazi servitude does not fade away as the years go by. The history had not preserved any example of such firmness and will to victory.

We will never forget the sky-high cost that was paid for the Great Victory.

That’s why I’m glad to realize that Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have become a firm foundation of our Motherland security again and that peaceful skies over-head are effectively protected.

These certainty and reminiscence of the feats of our fathers and forefathers invigorate us to build better tomorrow for our children and grandchildren. Its foundation is in the inextricable connection between generations. That is why our duty is to care for veterans who beat out this victory in the lines and in the rear.

I wish all of you good health, success to all your good efforts and peaceful skies over-head!

Happy Victory Day!
