Tatiana Moskalkova met with civil society of Sverdlovsk Region

On June 14, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova met with representatives of the civil society of the Sverdlovsk Region at the round table «Constitutional Rights and Freedoms: Problems of Realization» in Yekaterinburg.

Tatiana Moskalkova noted the high level of civil society development in the Sverdlovsk Region.

In addition, the High Commissioner and representatives of the civil society discussed the implementation of video recording during the interrogation of minors, the return of the possibility of free travel to the place of residence on a certificate from the police, the use of mediation in education, the elimination of environmental problems,  family separation problems and the legalization of stateless persons, as well as the realization of the combat veterans’ right to housing.

Participants of the round table paid special attention to the problematic issues of respecting the rights of persons with disabilities.
