Tatiana Moskalkova held meeting with representatives of Russian community in Azerbaijan

On 28 December, within the framework of an official visit to Baku, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moakalkova met with representatives of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots living in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting members of the Russian community told the High Commissioner about a consultation unit which provided informational and legal support on the territory of Azerbaijan.

Today, 150 thousand Russians live in Azerbaijan representing 1.5 percent of the total population.

On 27 February, a ceremony of postage cancellation was held in Moscow. The postage stamp with symbolics of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation has been launched to mark 20th anniversary since adoption of the Federal Constitutional Law On High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.

The working group has been formed at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
