Statement by High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation

I welcome the decision of the Podolsky court of Kiev, which today has released Kirill Vyshinsky from detention under personal guarantee.

I think this decision is fair, devoid of political undertones. This gives hope for a further objective examination of the journalist’s case.

I congratulate Kirill, his relatives, friends and all those helping his release!
