This was stated in the official letter of reply from Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska regarding human rights protection of two Russian nationals – Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev.
On 20 May, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova sent an official request to Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeriya Lutkovska to personally visit Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev in order to clarify their state of health and conditions of detention, as well as facilitate organisation of their meeting with consular officers of the Russian Federation.
Ms Lutkovska reported that the two were held in separate wards at the Principal Military Medical Clinical Hospital of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. On 26 May, Mr Alexandrov and Mr Yerofeyev were visited by Alexey Gruby, the head of the Consular Division of the Russian Embassy in Ukraine.
On 29 May, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights personally visited the above citizens. The official response states that Russian nationals were "provided with all medications required for any treatment up to surgery".
Ms Lutkovska noted that Russian citizens did not submit any complaints against their conditions of detention at the hospital, or against any unlawful methods of investigation.
