Meeting with Ukrainian Ombudswoman

On June 14, Chief of Staff of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ivan Solovyov held a meeting with Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.

During the meeting the parties discussed the «road map» for mutual visits to persons on the lists of 34 people, the ombudswomen of Russia and Ukraine exchanged earlier.

In conclusion, the parties agreed, guided by the principles of parity and synchronism, to begin a series of mutual visits to the persons on the lists in Omsk on June 16 with the Penal Colony No. 6 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Omsk Region, where Dmitry Shtyblikov is held.

In addition, Ivan Solovyov introduced the Ukrainian ombudswoman to the work of the Office.

On September 11, in Kaluga, I held a personal reception of citizens together with the regional ombudsman Yuriy Zelnikov. I was approached by citizen F., who was born in the city of Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine. As a child, he arrived in Russia with his parents, in 2007 his mother died, his father left for Ukraine.
