Human rights development outcomes and prospects discussed in State Duma

On December 18, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova participated in parliamentary hearings "25th anniversary of the Russian Federation Constitution and the institute of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation" held in the State Duma.

Among other participants of the event were Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Olga Timofeeva, Leader of faction CPRF Gennady Zyuganov, Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov, heads of the State Duma and the Federation Council committees, representatives of federal authorities, Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, scientific community and civil society, ombudsmen of Armenia and Serbia and regional commissioners.

Chief of Staff of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Vladimir Lozbinev spoke on behalf of the federal ombudsperson.
