High Commissioner met with President of Republic of Azerbaijan

On 28 December, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova met with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting was held within the framework of an official visit of the High Commissioner to Azerbaijan.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation in human rights protection, new forms of interaction between two ombudspersons in accordance with the cooperation agreement which had been signed eralier  between the Russian and the Azerbaijan state human rights defenders. They also discussed prospects of cooperation and forms of integration processes between the ombudsperson in a Eurasian format.
