High Commissioner met with parliamentary leader of A Just Russia party

On April 30, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova held a meeting with parliamentary leader of A Just Russia political party Sergey Mironov in a video conference mode.

During the conversation, Sergey Mironov commended the Report on the Activities of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation for 2019.

The meeting participants discussed issues of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, which are especially acute in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

Tatiana Moskalkova spoke about the activities of the High Commissioner for Human Rights during the pandemic, as well as about the dynamics and characteristics of appeals received by the Office of the federal ombudswoman.

According to the High Commissioner, over a month the hotline received more than 700 calls on issues related to the spread of coronavirus infection.

In conclusion, Tatiana Moskalkova and Sergey Mironov discussed the interaction of the High Commissioner and her Office with A Just Russia parliamentary party in the field of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.
