Dialogue with High Commissioner. Fighting fraud

Dialogue with High Commissioner. Fighting fraud

Again, the conversation will focus on combating fraud. This time, I managed to defend the interests of the family, who appeared into a very unpleasant situation.

Citizen M. addressed me in the interests of his son, a disabled person of the second group on mental illness. The applicant complained about the inaction of law enforcement agencies on his application for a committed crime.

According to the man, in 2016, the malefactors formalized the credit agreement for his son’s passport to receive a large sum of money, abusing the trust of an incapacitated person.

M. appealed to the investigative authorities, but on the basis of the results of procedural inspections the decisions on refusal to initiate criminal proceedings were repeatedly pronounced.

Having familiarized myself with the materials, I sent the appeal to the Voronezh Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the reply, the procedural decision of the investigator, issued in August 2017, was canceled as unlawful, and after my appeal an additional check was carried out and a criminal case was opened.

Thus, the young man and his father had a chance for justice. Of course, I want to believe that there are more good and honest people in the world than cunning ones, but vigilance will never hurt.
