Dialogue with High Commissioner. Establish the truth

Dialogue with High Commissioner. Establish the truth

I was approached by a citizen I. with a complaint about the actions of police officers and guardianship authorities against her large family. The case was in a difficult situation in life, which hit a woman: 6 children, mother and father, who was disabled, lived in a room area of 16 square meters. Families were often visited by authorities with checks without explanation of the reasons and legal grounds, threatening that they would take away the children.

Guided by the principle of preserving the blood family, I sent an appeal to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Sverdlovsk Region.

According to the response, a criminal case was brought against the applicant’s husband and charges were brought against him.

On my repeated request to the investigative authorities, the answer was given that the criminal case was dismissed due to the absence of a crime in the actions of v. That is, the citizen was unfairly prosecuted for more than nine months.

In this case, it was possible to save an innocent person from punishment, which he did not deserve, and the family from separation. It is difficult to imagine what nightmare their life would be if justice had not been restored.
