Candidacy for post of Commissioner for Human Rights in Chukotka Autonomous Area approved remotely

High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova approved the candidacy of Anastasia Zhukova for the post of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Chukotka Autonomous Area via videoconferencing.

During the conversation Tatiana Moskalkova and Anastasia Zhukova discussed high-priority tasks in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms in Chukotka which the new Commissioner is to deal with. Tatiana Moskalkova expressed confidence that deputies of the Autonomous Okrug Duma would support the candidacy of Anastasia Zhukova and wished her success in her work.

Anastasia Zhukova in her turn invited Tatiana Moskalkova to make a working visit to the Chukotka Autonomous Area. The invitation was gladly accepted.

Anastasia Zhukova previously occupied posts of a Deputy of the Governor, Director of the Social Policy Department of the Chukotka Autonomous Area, and since 2014 she was the First Deputy of the Governor, Director of the Social Policy Department of Chukotka Autonomous Area.

On September 11, in Kaluga, I held a personal reception of citizens together with the regional ombudsman Yuriy Zelnikov. I was approached by citizen F., who was born in the city of Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine. As a child, he arrived in Russia with his parents, in 2007 his mother died, his father left for Ukraine.
